YOUR RESULTS. YOUR CONTROL.
Privacy, by design.
Lightning Bench keeps test history on your device. You decide what to export and share.
Last updated: October 25, 2026. Applies to Lightning Bench 1.0.
Pre-release policy information. Planned support: support@lightning-bench.com (not yet active). Developer contact details will be finalized before release.
1. On-device testing and storage
The app uses device model, system information, capacity, free space, test settings and measurements to run benchmarks and show results. Preferences and saved reports are stored locally. The app does not require an account or automatically upload your benchmark results.
Tests create temporary files in app storage or a writable external folder you choose through the system picker. Cleanup removes the app’s temporary test files. Saved reports remain until you delete them or remove the app. Copies you export are separate.
2. Public reference information
Refreshing public reference information makes an HTTPS request to jazzdiskbench.com. The app does not attach your benchmark report, an app account identifier or an advertising identifier. Like other websites, the destination receives an IP address and ordinary connection metadata. Its own privacy practices apply.
Opening an external source link contacts that destination. Lightning Bench does not control third-party server logs or policies.
3. Sharing and Photos
Sharing is optional. A report can contain device model, capacity, system version, settings, timestamps and measurements. A result image contains selected test information. Review the content before you share it. The recipient or destination service handles the copy under its own rules.
Only when you select Save Image does the app request permission to add the result image to Photos. It does not request access to read your photo library or automatically upload the image.
4. External-drive permissions
Access is limited to the folder permission you grant through the operating system. Benchmarking uses the app’s own temporary files and does not require scanning your personal documents. You can manage access through the system’s available controls.
5. Advertising and tracking
Lightning Bench does not include advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not use an advertising identifier for cross-app tracking.
6. This website
This website stores your language preference in your browser. It does not include an analytics script, advertising tracker or contact-submission form. The hosting provider necessarily processes requests and may handle IP addresses and connection logs to operate and protect the site.
7. Your controls
Delete saved results in History. Review reports before sharing. Clear browser site data to remove this website’s language preference. You may decline to refresh public reference information. Copies sent to other people or services are managed separately.
8. Questions and changes
We will update this page when the app’s data practices change. For the current contact information and guidance, visit the Support page. The public support contact must be finalized before launch.
